You’re here because you want to tell stories. That wasn’t hard to deduce. You’re a storyteller. We all are. Our need for stories – telling them, hearing them, remembering them – is one of the very few things that all humans throughout time have shared in common. Without exception.

We need stories to make sense of the world. Stories are our refuge, our defense against the existential despair of knowing what the universe is without knowing why we are in it. Our need for stories is primal. 

Our fascination, our urge to know what happens next in a story is as strong and runs as deep as any motivation we feel. The story doesn’t even have to be told well. It just needs to be captivating. Most stories are.

When planning this website, it took me a while to figure out what would be the first thing I would tell you when you got here. Just this. Stories are important. You telling them is important. In the end, stories are all we have.
